The Power of Women and Girls’ Voices: New Directions in Collective Advocacy

March 14, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Please join Women Thrive Worldwide and partner organizations from Nepal, Kenya, and Nigeria at their March 14 CSW parallel event. See below and attached for more information and to RSVP. Feel free to share the invitation with your networks.

For too long, women and girls’ voices have been excluded from global policymaking. Collective advocacy can change that.

Using their successful advocacy to secure Sustainable Development Goal 4 as a case study, Women Thrive Worldwide and members of its Alliance for Women’s Solutions will share lessons on how the voices of women and girls can be fostered through capacity building training, amplified through collective action, and ultimately heeded by policymakers.

Dr. Patricia T. Morris, President, Women Thrive Worldwide

Dhruba Prasad Ghimire, Executive Director, Rural Women’s Network Nepal (RUWON)
Martha Muhwezi, Head of Programs, Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE)
Sybil Nmezi, Coordinator, Generation Initiative for Women and Youth Network Nigeria (GIWYN)
Noel Schroeder, Deputy Director, Advocacy and Capacity Building, Women Thrive Worldwide
